Grateful as always for the highs, lows and all the spaces and places in between.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years it’s that you just gotta keep going.
Keep moving, keep working, keep believing.
Don’t stop, don’t listen.
Follow your vision off a cliff and hit the ground running.
The journey is the gift and the process is the prize. Your passion is the fuel.
And when you learn to willingly and willfully give more than you get, then you are truly grateful; then you are truly happy.
So keep going. It’s a lifestyle, not a destination.
Big things aren’t built overnight. Nothing of value ever comes quick and easy. And the stuff that matters most often takes the most time to develop.
You have to be restlessly patient.
Relentless in the moment; moving with speed, purpose, and urgency. But calm, composed and calculated toward your Vision.
That healthy tension and uncomfortable balance between constant motion in the moment and stillness as the vision unfolds is a learned skill that few people possess.
But you need it – and you need to nurture it – if you want to build the biggest of your big dreams.
We all have fears. And insecurities. “Don’t be scared” is like saying “don’t breathe.”
Those feelings are part of what makes us human. And all of us have our own scale; our own tiers, and thresholds, and tolerance levels.
These are very personal emotions… It’s not about denying those feelings.
And it’s sure as hell not about ignoring them.
It’s just about how we handle them. How we recognize them. How we speak to them, and how we send them on their way.
And most of all, it’s about not letting them control us.
Get to know your fears, and work to understand your insecurities.
It’s the only way to become your best you.
Your personal passion is your most valuable asset.
Not your house. Not your car. Not the suits in your closet or the jewelry around your neck.
But your passion. What you love.
And that wild, crazy, unclear-to-everyone-but-unquestionable-to-you belief in the power of that passion. And that undying internal drive you have to work your freaking ass off to somehow, some way, WILL it into existence…
To manifest it from your mind and share it from your soul… That decision to give in to yourself so you can gift it to the world.
That one thing. That one feeling. That one purpose. That passion… If you decide to unleash it.
No bullshit, no shortcuts, no excuses. No “next times”, “next years” or “not yets.”
Then I promise you. I promise you… You can do ANYTHING.
The biggest accomplishment in life is to fall madly in love with yourself.
Not in a superficial, artificial, narcissistic way, because that’s not real love. But true love, in every shape and every form.
Falling deep in love with every part of you – the good, the bad, the ugly and the unchangeable – is really hard. In fact, it’s damn near impossible. But it’s everything… It’s the most important relationship you’ll ever have, yet most of us often overlook it because we’re too focused on feeling it elsewhere.
We don’t look within, because we’re too afraid of what we’ll find. We’re so damn harsh on ourselves…
But the truth is, you have to love yourself before you can love anyone else. Otherwise, the love you give them is in place of the love you owe yourself… not in addition to it. And that fractioned affection is no good to anyone.
Love yourself first. Everyone else comes next.
